Workforce Development Program
Fortune Avenue accepts high school interns who are passionate about improving financial literacy among youth. Interns may choose to work within one department, split their time between two departments, or serve as general interns with varied responsibilities. Learn more about our four departments on the “About Us” page.

Our Intent
Through our Workforce Development Program, we allow high school students to experience a professional environment where they can build essential soft skills such as communication, administrative support, teamwork, time management, professionalism, and leadership. Interns are also given the opportunity to attend retreats, participate in events Fortune Avenue is invited to (such as pitch competitions) and engage in exclusive workshops.

Roles & Responsibilites
Interns will receive weekly assignments depending on their department. Their work will be focused on Fortune Avenue’s educational initiatives as well as career-relevant skill development. Interns also attend monthly Fortune Avenue retreats in Boston.

Activities may include:
-
Assisting with curriculum and workshop development
-
Supporting data collection and basic analysis
-
Creating social media and visual content
-
Assisting with fundraising, grants, and program facilitation
