About:
Rebecca John is a passionate student with a strong interest in finance and social impact. As the Deputy Director, she interacts with the directors of each department to expand Fortune Avenue's vision and impact. She leads the Program Data & Analytics department and creates reports, analyzes program data, and researches how to grow the organization. She is also the Internship Coordinator, and is in charge of hiring new interns and conduct professional development sessions.
Outside of Fortune Avenue, Rebecca is the co-founder of Cognify, an award-winning tech initiative for stroke patients, and a two-time DECA ICDC qualifier (including a 5th place win!). She stays involved through clubs like DECA and Model UN, and fosters a welcoming environment through Warrior Friends Forever, a club dedicated to building kindness and inclusion at her high school.
As the daughter of immigrants, Rebecca understands the importance of access and opportunity. Her passion for finance stems from both personal experience and a drive to make financial tools more available. She’s passionate about making financial education more inclusive and believes in Fortune Avenue’s mission to give students from all backgrounds the tools they need to succeed.
