Summer Program Week 3: LinkedIn & Resume Workshops

On July 30th, Fortune Avenue hosted the third week of its 2025 Summer Program, where students learned how to build strong resumes and create impactful LinkedIn profiles.

The session began with a workshop on what makes a resume stand out, covering the importance of strong action verbs, clear formatting, and effective section organization. Students also reviewed examples of strong vs. weak LinkedIn profiles, giving them a practical understanding of how to showcase their professional brand.

Afterward, students split into two breakout stations:

• Resume Support – building and refining resumes with guidance from the FA team

• LinkedIn Support – setting up profiles and receiving personalized tips

  
  

To bring everything together, students had the opportunity to take professional headshots—a key step in completing their LinkedIn presence.

To wrap up, we awarded Dave’s Hot Chicken gift cards to 5 students who have shown exceptional participation and engagement throughout the program so far. Congratulations to our winners: Bryan Dohoho, Ethan Saleh, Sada Seck, Gavin Stephenson, and Lilly Stephenson.
