Fortune Avenue is proud to introduce our first initiative – a weekly summer program that teaches students what they really need to know about budgeting, saving, spending, and investing.
The Summer Series is a 5-week, high-energy summer program that teaches high school students how to take control of their money, build wealth, and explore careers in finance. It was designed by students, for students.
Students gain real financial knowledge that they can use right away including how to budget purposefully, the power of compound interest, and investing strategies using mutual funds. They also gain important career exposure by networking with real professionals, seeing a financial career panel, getting resume tips, and mentorship.
The program is looking for high-school students (especially Juniors and Seniors) and it takes place every Wednesday from July 16th to August 13th at Emerson College.
By the end, students will be able to:
Create a personal budget
Write an investment strategy
Build a strong resume
Compete with confidence
Join a growing alumni network
Receive a certificate of completion
We are looking for support in our work and we are seeking sponsers, guest speakers, and donors to fuel our organization and this program. All contributions will support youth stipends, food, supplies, and program operations. This could be your chance to give back to the community!
Financial literacy is one of the most powerful tools for economic mobility—yet it’s rarely taught in school. This program makes money make sense and brings opportunity to life.
So join now, because at Fortune Avenue, we don't just dream big, we make it big.
